Developing a Winning Mindset

Chris Pollard with Duke Baseball had a great presentation during the Duke Sports Medicine Baseball Symposium about developing his team’s mindset. He summarized it with this:

  1. Process: Routine, Breath (it resets you and you always have it with you), and Mindfulness
  2. Servant Leadership: Focusing on the people around you more than yourself
  3. Gratitude: You can’t be entitled if you are grateful, being grateful for the struggle
  4. Growth mindset: How intentional training of your reaction to things going wrong can impact you, your team, and your life. 

He brought all of these concepts to life through sports in these two videos that all players and coaches should watch.
