How does MedBridge compare to Home CEU (Home CEU Connection)?

 Home CEU Connection is similar to MedBridge in that both give unlimited access to their entire library of online video and live interactive webinar CEUs for one full year.  While I have not had a Home CEU Connection subscription, there are some clear differences between MedBridge and Home CEU Connection. Additionally, I have worked with MedBridge as an instructor and have been an affiliate with them since 2012. So please know my bias there, but I strive to give an objective review as possible.

The cost of Home CEU Connection is $25 cheaper.

A year subscription to MedBridge costs $225.  A year Home CEU Connection subscription costs $197

Home CEU Connection has text-based courses and MedBridge does not. 

The Home CEU Connection website indicates this is to be able to complete the course faster. They have 70 hours of text-based courses.   I assume completing them faster is accomplished by your speed of reading or looking at the questions and then finding the answer. So if you are in a time crunch and are scrambling at the end of the year, I can see how this would be a distinct advantage for Home CEU Connection over MedBridge. 

Production quality appears higher on MedBridge.

It appears the production quality is higher on MedBridge. While I know most people don’t care about this, as a professional educator, I do. High production value can substantially improve the learners experience, engagement, and, I believe, ultimately retention. 

MedBridge has more courses than Home CEU Connection.  

For example, for athletic training, Home CEU Connection states it has over 500 hours and MedBridge states that it has over 840 courses (many courses are more than 1 CEU hour).

Searching CEU courses is easier on MedBridge than on Home CEU Connection.

Home CEU Connection search is based on topic (or you can search keyword) but the list of topics is too long to really identify what you are looking for. MedBridge does allow keyword and instructor search, but gives you the option of searching by speciality (sports for example) as well as setting. I find these filters easier to navigate. Additionally, I find that I like certain instructors better than others. So when I find an instructor that I like, I like to see all the courses that instructor has on the platform. While MedBridge allows that type of search, I wasn’t able to find it on Home CEU Connection.
